This summer, established underfloor heating manufacturer Heat Mat, have released its new ultimate WiFi controller.
The HMT5 is suitable as a new or replacement thermostat for any brand electrical underfloor heating system. Available in a sleek white or black satin finish it has a 4” rapid-acting edge to edge full colour touch screen and can be controlled either from the screen or directly from anywhere via the companion app.
The intelligent controller also has built-in custom AI which can reportedly learn a room’s heat characteristics using its adaptive function, allowing warming to start at the right time to ensure the room is at the desired temperature in the most energy efficient manner, Heat Mat says.
The built-in connection wizard is designed to ensure that connection to the WiFi network is simple and trouble-free. Connecting the app to each thermostat takes a matter of seconds and as each thermostat has built-in WiFi, there is no need for a separate hub. Once connected, multiple thermostats can be controlled via the companion app.
The thermostat is part of Heat Mat’s full range of electric heating solutions, which includes not only underfloor heating for indoor applications, but also floor heating for outdoor projects too, such as disability ramp or driveway ice and snow melting systems. g
