Inalco, on of the leading Spanish ceramic tile manufacturers, is set to start-up of a second plant for the production of extra-large porcelain panels at its facility in Alcora, Castellón, Spain.
The new line uses cutting-edge H2O IPlus Full Digital technology and allows for greater flexibility in terms of thicknesses and sizes. Along with latest-generation systems, the company has chosen to use sustainable materials, such as water-based glazes for tile decoration. These glazes mark a major step forward for the tile industry in terms of sustainability and care for the environment.
This latest investment is aimed at boosting production of surfaces that are already successfully established in international markets. One of these is the Itopker Countertops range of porcelain slabs in a 1,500 by 3,200mm format, 12mm thick. Designed for the kitchen, furniture and interior design sectors, the range attracted much interest at the recent KBIS show in Orlando, Florida. In the thin tile and panel segment (6mm), Inalco offers its Slimmker range available in sizes 1,500 by 3,000mm, 1,500 by 1,500mm and 1,000 by 2,500mm for floors and walls.
