The Tile Association has announced that South and City College Birmingham has had its status as a TTA Centre of Excellence renewed for a further period up to June 2021. This follows a TTA audit carried out during the summer, which found that the College continues to maintain its very high training standards, including the ability to deliver the future Trailblazer apprenticeships. This is a great resource for apprentice tillers seeking training in the Birmingham area and for the College, the accolade of being a TTA Centre of Excellence strengthens their offer to the community, enabling students to access the most suitable training available.
Harry Beattie, tiling lecturer at the College says: “South and City College Birmingham are delighted to receive the Centre of Excellence Award for our tiling department. There are very few colleges that have this privilege. This prestige award recognises us as a recommended college for learning and promoting good practice and well-being, improving the outcome for students and giving us professional credibility. Our marketing department can now use the TTA logo on our advertising campaigns enabling us to attract a wider clientele from the West Midlands and further afield.”
