Aiming to reposition the EnergieKer brand in the large decorated ceramic panel and slab market, the ceramic manufacturer based in Pavullo, Modena, Italy, has commissioned the Sacmi Group to supply a complete plant for the manufacture of slabs up to 1,200 by 2,400mm and 1,600 by 3,200mm; the final stage of an ambitious plan to invest in the best available large panel technology launched back in 2013.
The new plant was installed in time to present the new EnergieKer product range at Cersaie. It features a Continua+ line for the production of large ceramic panels. Downstream from the compactor, there is the digital decoration and glazing system, where the DHD 1808 digital printer by Sacmi-Intesa plays a pivotal role: equipped with eight colour bars, it allows deep digital decoration of on-tile tactile and depth effects.
To fire the panels, EnergieKer has chosen a latest-generation EKO kiln ; while handling and sorting systems complete the Sacmi-equipped plant.
