To coincide with Paris Photo 2018, Marazzi is celebrating ceramics, and its own corporate history, in a display of the work of Gianni Berengo Gardin, Luigi Ghirri, Charles Traub, Cuchi White, and Andrea Ferrari.
From 15th November, Marazzi Paris showroom on Boulevard Saint Germain will feature the Auteur Pictures exhibition which will be divided into three rooms which cover different approaches to ceramics and the company’s history. In the first room, Gianni Berengo Gardin investigates the factory and production operations, in the second Andrea Ferrari concentrates on ceramic matter and its interaction with light, and in the third room Luigi Ghirri adopts a playful approach and conjures up moods suspended in time.
The exhibition is introduced by the works displayed in the showroom windows, by Charles H. Traub, who will show a tile superimposed on a portrait photograph, and Cuchi White (Cleveland 1930 - Paris 2013), who underlines the colour contrast between elements with pop art overtones.
Ever since its inauguration, the Paris showroom has embodied the transverse approach central to the Marazzi philosophy, merging design, architecture, music, art, and technology in a space dedicated to interior design and architectural projects.
