Luke Browning has hit the front in the Ginetta Junior Championship standings following an impressive double win in the second meeting of the year at Donington Park; backing up his maiden win in the series at Brands Hatch. Luke was on the pace from the start in the East Midlands; qualifying on the front row of the grid for the opening race. The Richardson Racing driver, in the CTC Tiles liveried car, emerged on top in a race long fight with title rival Adam Smalley and top rookie Louis Foster to pick up a second successive victory.
A third win of the year followed soon afterwards as Luke dominated the second race of the weekend. Another podium capped off a successful weekend in race three, as Luke crossed the line in second place.
Luke has now moved into the championship lead with two of the ten rounds completed this season. He’ll be back in action at Thruxton, the fastest circuit in the UK, for round three of the season on the weekend of 19th and 20th May.
