Crogiolo Lume by Marazzi, a collection that reinterprets the beauty of hand-made majolica tiles, has won the award for the best design product in the Finishes category in the international competition held by Archiproducts.
Lume, one of the seven collections in the new Marazzi Crogiolo series, is manufactured with a new production technology and in-depth research into glazes and colour, and offers a stoneware evocation - in the unusual 60 by 240mm size - of the beauty of ultra-glossy handmade majolica tiles, with their dense glaze and minor flaws.
Impressed with its irregularities and the variations in colour and patterning, as well as the depth of the colours - White, Black, Blue, Musk and Greige – the jury chose Lume for the Finishes category award for the quality of its surfaces and the uniqueness of every single possible composition.
