Coronavirus causes cancellation of Marble Izmir

March 2020

Marble Izmir, one of the world's largest natural stone exhibitions, has been postponed due to the Coronavirus epidemic.  The 26th running of this annual event was due to take place from 1st to 4th April in Izmir, Turkey.  The organisers are now planning to reschedule the event for later in the year, following consultation with the Ministries of Health and Industry.

In 2019, Marble Izmir attracted 1,078  natural  stone exhibitors to this 150,000 sq. metre showground.  Natural stone companies accounted for almost 70% of the 55,000 sq. metres of exhibition space.  The fair brings together all sectors of the natural stone industry, including a wide selection of quarries from Turkey.
