New Premium Porcelain collections from Stone Age

May 2018

Stone Age has launched an innovative new range, featuring a choice of fully vitrified highly durable porcelain tiles. Suitable for interior, exterior and bespoke use, the collections can be viewed in the company’s London and Bristol showrooms or online at: http://www.stone-age.co.uk/porcelain-swatch.html

Split into five collections - Timber, District, Vision, Metro and Rocky - each range has a selection of shades to suit a wide range of interiors.

“This new collection is a real asset to our growing portfolio and gives our partners and customers greater choice on projects,” says Stone Age’s Gary Walters.  “These tiles are a fantastic illustration of how our industry is embracing technology and combining it with design to achieve bespoke and beautifully finished projects.”

The Timber range offers a wood-effect tile, with a generous 11 mm thickness.  The knots and grains are precisely reproduced.  Available in four colourways - from the rich red-brown of Patinato to the subtle grey of Grigo - each evokes a satisfying essence of oak.

The District collection is an ever-popular concrete effect, with four essential colour variations ranging from greys to beige. Well suited to crisp interior or exterior schemes, it gives a desirable hint of warmth.

The Vision collection comprises six tiles inspired by Apuan marbles.  Using digital technology to develop colours that appear in natural stone, this collection offers a cost-effective and robust alternative. For a grey white scheme choose the Calacatta Shine, Bianco Statuario or Crystal White. For a warmer option, Imperial Onyx is a good fit.

A close neighbour to the District collection, the Metro range emulates the coarse character of cement. This rough look combines with a tactile quality to produce a tile that is smooth, warm and contemporary. Well suited to a variety of architectural and interior spaces, this tile is available in three shades from Tokyo White to the pink grey shade of Milano Ecru.

For a more rustic loo,k the Rocky collection offers a textured finish, one that does not exist in nature but has been re-invented to give this tile an aged quality and a feeling of permanence in its place.  This tile is available in four shades; from crisp White Dover to a richer shade of Grey Tenerife.

Most tiles are available in a wide range of sizes from 300 by 600mm to 900 by 900mm.  The Rocky range is also available in 600 by 600 and 600 by 1,200mm.  The Timber range comes in a 200 by 1,200mm plank format.
