Ceramique Internationale launches exclusive range with on trend ‘Lily Pad’ decoration

October 2020

Ceramique Internationale has unveiled an exclusive new collection of small-format hexagon tiles, responding to the growing ‘lily pad’ tile trend.

Stripes is a range of hexagon-shaped décor tiles featuring an intricate pattern of angular lines. Exclusively manufactured in Spain, the contemporary porcelain tile is available in five vibrant shades – including green, pink and dark blue – and can be used in a variety of different fixing patterns to create several distinctive geometric designs. Popular patterns include a starburst, a web of triangles and the sought-after lily pad – which is created when the tiles are assembled with all lines pointing upwards, forming the illusion of a wall full of water lilies.

Unlike existing variants of this statement tile, Stripes is smaller at 15 x 17cm and boasts a unique worn-edge effect reminiscent of encaustic cement tiles – offering an even stronger visual impact.

Equally suited to both walls and floors, the dramatic collection offers the durability, easy maintenance and hard-wearing qualities of porcelain, making it the perfect choice for adding a modern splash of colour to kitchen and bathroom environments alike.

Peter Vann, Director of Ceramique Internationale, said: “The lily pad tile trend has really taken off recently – consumers love the endless opportunities to get creative and make a statement with its striking design. Stripes takes it to a new level with its distinct size and visual effects and is available in core interior design colours, which we expect will only add to its popularity among customers.”
