Authenticity is one of the hottest words in design today; as specifiers seek genuine products that communicate warmth and naturalness. This has driven tile manufacturers towards ceramic surfaces that offer both visual and tactile appeal: what may be thought of as authentic simulations.
This is perhaps most clearly seen in the new generation of wood-effect tiles, like Blustyle’s Green Wood. Here the inspiration came from the finest oak, in keeping with the European tradition. The resultant porcelain stoneware slabs have a hyper-realistic finish that evokes the true beauty of the natural timber itself.
The range offers three colour shades – Ash (shown), Oak, and Bay. Suitable for domestic and contract applications, it is a highly durable floor tile with excellent technical properties. The large 9.5 mm-thick 200 by 1,200mm plank format is both elegant and sophisticated; with the true beauty lying in the surface detailing.
