Bellota tile cutters target the UK

Recently exhibited at Coverings, the USA leading trade fair for the ceramic tile and natural stone industries, Belotta is set to become a powerful new professional hand tool brand in the UK.  Spearheading the brand’s push in the UK is a range of well-engineered manual tile cutters.

The Bellota 21in Pop Tile Cutter has been designed to cut ceramic and porcelain tiles, but can also be used for cutting mosaic glass.  It is billed as a versatile, strong and easy-to-use tile cutter that fulfils the basic needs of both professional tile installers and DIY enthusiasts.

Key features include a wide reinforced cast aluminium base with reinforcing ribs that ensure rigidity, stability and precision while scoring and breaking the tile.  This base is protected by heavy-duty foam pads for comfortable tile breaking.  Both lateral wings can be used for stabilising larger formats of tile.  The unit also has reinforced rail bar supports that connect with the entire width of the base, and double anchors to optimise the resistance to stress and faithfully transmit the efforts of the user.  Solid steel chrome-plated round rail bars connect both supports.  These bars ensure smooth gliding and high scoring precision, while also being highly resistant to wear.

Secure and precise holding of the scoring wheel in the tool holder, which is designed with an inner steel shaft, offers maximum strength; while extra-wide trapezoidal sliders made of polyoxymethylene improve rigidity, and provide exceptional toughness and wear resistance as well as a smooth glide along the bars.  The cast aluminium breaker ensures clean and comfortable breaking of the tile.  The Pop cutter has a cutting length of 21 inches (530mm) and a diagonal cutting length of 15 inches by 15 inches (380 by 380mm).  The cutter can accommodate tiles up to 12mm thick and is supplied with one 15/64in (6mm) scoring wheel.  The cutter comes with a three-year guarantee as standard.

“Even the most demanding installer will appreciate the solid feel, durability and unparalleled performance of our tile cutters,” says Laurent Nevejans, Director of Business Development for Bellota in the USA.

“The Pro series of tile cutters is designed for professional installers.  The Pro line consists of heavy-duty cutters with a unique, extra-wide base for big tile jobs. This high-performance line is available in 22in and 28in cutting lengths, and capable of cutting tiles up to 0.6in thick.  All Bellota Pro tile cutters come with two forged scoring wheels (15/64in (6mm) and 25/64in (10mm), a sturdy, shockproof case, and a five-year warranty.”

“The Pop series is designed for cutting common ceramic and porcelain tiles, as well as mosaic glass.  Pop tile cutters, available in eight separate models, are versatile, strong and easy to use, making them suitable for the DIYer as well as professional installer.  The Pop series is available in 21in and 25in cutting lengths, and is capable of cutting tile up to 0.5in thick.  All Bellota Pop tile cutters come with one 15/64in (6mm) scoring wheel, and a three-year warranty.”
