Solus Ceramics has launched a new and unique showroom in Clerkenwell, just in time for Clerkenwell Design Week 2018. The new showroom offers architects and designers a collaborative informal space to look for tile inspiration and develop design schemes.
The two-floor showroom, located at 80 Clerkenwell Road, offers a stimulating and supportive space that will be an expression of the innovative Solus Ceramics brand. Solus Clerkenwell allows architects and designers to utilise the environment as they wish: from receiving advice on the latest tiles ranges and trends through to a design hub enabling them to brainstorm and create new and innovative design concepts.
Solus Ceramics worked with the creative team at BusbyWebb to develop the design of the new showroom. Nick Wills, Director of Branding at BusbyWebb, said: “Our concept is based around the heart of Solus Ceramics as a family company - starting from the Chairman, Peter Bentley’s original home office 22 years ago - to becoming one of the UK’s leading architectural tile suppliers. We took this theme and will be building the customer experience and cutting edge showroom design around it.”
“The Clerkenwell showroom will be a relaxed environment that gives customers everything they need to create and implement eye catching design schemes - from a traditional specification centre to an informal workspace.”
Solus has partnered with CDW as a featured resident showroom for the festival, and while the launch of the showroom is the primary reason for visitors to drop in, Solus will also be hosting a variety of design-led events throughout the week.
From all-day informal drinks and canapés, to exciting evening events and design talks from manufacturing partners, visitors to CDW will find Solus Clerkenwell is a must visit location during the festival.
Marcus Bentley, Managing Director of Solus Ceramics, commented: “Solus Ceramics sits at the very heart of the latest floor and wall tile designs, so it’s only right that we open our new home in one of the most renowned architectural design hubs in the world.”
“We encourage designers and architects alike to come and visit our new showroom and we look forward to working with them to continue to develop fresh and exciting design aesthetics.”
