As Cersaie clearly demonstrated last year, the world’s leading tile producers are exploring the potential of large tile formats to take their products into new market segments. Inalco, the pioneering Spanish manufacturer, is the latest to invest in advanced technology that opens up new avenues in the worktop and furniture sectors.
Inalco, one of Spain’s leading tile manufacturers, has put a second production plant into operation for extra-large porcelain slabs at the company’s Alcora premises in Castellón, confirming this innovative manufacturer’s determination to offer the most extensive range of cutting-edge ceramic surfaces on the market.
The new production plants, which are equipped with the most advanced H2O IPlus Full Digital technology in the world, ensure greater flexibility in terms of the different thicknesses and formats that the company can manufacture.
Cutting-edge innovations have also been introduced to production processes, using advanced raw materials, such as water-based decorative glazing techniques. Inalco says that these glazes represent a major new breakthrough for the tile industry in sustainability and environmental care.
The iTOPKer porcelain worktop range of 12mm thick slabs in a large 1,500 by 3,200mm formats has been a great success since its launch. This shows that these surfaces can play an important role in kitchen design projects thanks to their unbeatable technical performance and eye-catching designs and textures in keeping with the latest trends in interior design.
While iTOPKer worktops open up new decorative potential in porcelain tile materials, Inalco also produces the 6mm thick Slimmker porcelain tile range for use on walls and floors. These are available in 1,500 by 3,000mm, 1,500 by 1,500mm and 1,000 by 2,500mm formats.
